Commissions
A painting made for one wall.
Roughly a third of the year goes to commissioned work. You send a photo of the wall, I send back three painted studies, and we only go big once you have picked one.

Studies are painted on the same paper as the Field Notes pieces, so what you approve is what you get.
The studio
Second floor of a dairy barn, north light, cold in February.
I have painted in Millbrook Crossing since 2012. The work started as landscape and got looser every year until the horizon was the only thing left. Now it sits somewhere between the two, which suits me.
Visitors are welcome on Thursdays. There is coffee, there is usually a dog, and nothing is priced differently in person than it is on this site.
